documentary and editorial work was our foundation in the industry and its emphasis on storytelling informs everything we do.

our first documentary was GET LITE, an award-winning documentary featuring subway dancers in New York City. it had its premiere at the historic APOLLO THEATER in Harlem, NYC and it featured at the Harlem Film Festival, as well as the Divulge Dancers Film Festival in Hollywood, CA, where it won the award for Best Documentary.

having found our footing with the style, we began creating the GFX package to match.

Following the mood board aesthetic, we landed on magazine cut-out letters, scotch tape, hand drawn arrows and ellipses. Paired with the subsequent interviews with the stars and creators of the respective shows, we’d ensured that form and functioned worked together to create a whole greater than the sum of its parts. Netflix was so happy with the process and result that we paired together again to create a GFX template for their digital series “How I Got to Netflix.”
